Advertorials

Where there is content on our site that is advertising or a marketing communication, we will ensure that this is marked and described as such.  Content that is under the control or influence of a marketer and that has been placed on our site for advertising or marketing purposes will be described appropriately.

Any advertorials that are marketing communications will be clearly marked by us as such, for example by heading them “advertisement feature”, or by stating the name of the marketing agency providing the content.

Misleading Advertising

Essentially England makes every reasonable effort to ensure that advertising and marketing communication are not materially misleading or likely to be so.

Reasonable efforts are made to ensure that neither the identity of the advertiser or marketer is omitted and other material information is not omitted (material information includes the main characteristic of products, the geographical address of the marketer or trader responsible, the price of the product (including taxes) delivery charges, arrangements for delivery and the right to withdraw or cancel).

If third parties advertise on our site, it is sometimes outside the scope of Essentially England to ensure that no material information has been omitted.  Essentially England cannot therefore guarantee that third party advertising is not misleading.

Essentially England does not hold any documentary evidence that testimonials or endorsements used in third party advertising are genuine and cannot guarantee the validity of any such statements made.

Essentially England makes every reasonable effort to minimize the risk of causing harm and serious or widespread offence.  We will not place anything on our site that does so.  We consider carefully if advertisements may be considered distasteful.
